Special Issue Information: A special issue of Urban Design
The idea of urban sustainability is that a city can be organized without over-reliance on the surroundings and support itself with renewable energy. The aim of the idea is to create the lowest quantity of waste and pollution, and achieve the green development of city. Urban sustainability has brought environmental protection, economic feasibility, social equity of and other intricate issues.
The special issue is devoted to promoting the knowledge and understanding of urban sustainability. It sincerely invites original scientific research articles related to the topics on urban sustainability.

The potential issues include but are not limited to the following:
•   Alternative energy and greener engineering
•   Environmental science
•   Population explosion and urbanization
   Clean energy sources, waste recycling in cities
•   Ecosystems and farmland protection
•   Misuse of land
•   Distributed energy generation
•   Water harvesting and management
   Water pollution and sanitation
•   Industrial development and energy crisis
•   Geography, planning and development
 
Submission Guideline:
Authors should submit their original articles related to the focus of the Special Issue to special.issues@itspoa.com.
